While the top Boarder Patrol Official is looking at the success rate of citizen backup/watchers, others are claimiing that citizen patrols are worthless.

Border chief says citizen volunteers could form patrol auxiliary
The top U.S. border enforcement official said in an interview Wednesday that his agency is exploring ways to involve citizen volunteers in creating "something akin to a Border Patrol auxiliary" - a significant shift in rhetoric that comes after a high- profile civilian campaign this spring along the Arizona- Mexico border.

Troublesome Rep. Filner whines about border watchers
With militia Minutemen patrolling the border less than an hour from Imperial Co. this past weekend, Rep. Bob Filner, D- Chula Vista, criticized the effort, saying the citizen groups take the "wrong approach" to border security. -- "We have a history of leaving law enforcement to law enforcement officials," said Filner... [and they've proven to be useless, just like Filner and his ilk.]
These two stories bring up many questions. One if the boarder watchers are not effective then why is the Boarder Patrol looking into citizen auiliary useage and possible deputization of these groups. If the Minuteman Project is only vigilantism why are there no arrests reported and violations of the law being reported?
Now if the Boarder Patrol does use citizen auxiliary to augment their lack of agents what are they going to do about the death threats against the civilians by MS 13 punks and coyotes, and these antiAmerican activists who are dead set on taking control of the Southwest portion of this Country? If you arm the citizens, give them the choice of defending themselves against drug runners and invaders to this country you run the risk of shootouts along the boarder. [ Personally I think that citizens need to take out a few of these degenerates and prolifiraters of misery. Send a message to these punks to keep their trash out of the states.] However activist groups will claim racial discrimination, and forced hatred to hispanics.
Now if you actually sit down and talk to the people involved in watching the boarder you will find out that there is absolutely no racism involved. The open acceptance of immigrants to this country through LEGAL means is wanted and welcomed. It is the ILLEGAL entry that they want to stop.
If citizen Auxiliaries are called upon and introduced, should they be deputized in an effort to allow them to protect themselves from criminals? Or do we relegate them to a status of nieghborhood watch organizations and let State laws determine the legalities of carrying firearms. If deputized should they not be compensated for their time and effort. A monetary gratuitity? Then if monetary is that not arguable that a bounty is being placed on ILLEGALS? You know that the open boarder panderers will decry this.
When activists like the Brown Berets assult private organizations like in Campo where they assulted a VFW post, will the Citizen Auxiliary have the authority to stop these PUNKASS LITTLE PUKES! [ yes that was directed towards ALL MEMBERS INVOLVED IN THE ASSULT ON THE POST. YOU THUGS ARE CROSSING THE LINE WHEN YOU ATTACK VETERANS WHO HAVE GIVEN ALOT SO YOU MORONS CAN ACT LIKE IDIOTS.)
What authority and what civil rights need to be installed or removed for this to happen? Questions all to look at.
