To fairly divide the climate change fight between rich and poor, a new study suggests basing targets for emission cuts on the number of wealthy people, who are also the biggest greenhouse gas emitters, in a country.

Lie number one. The government is the biggest emitter of green house gases through its vehicles and contracting of heavy equipment for infrastructure projects.

Since about half the planet's climate-warming emissions come from less than a billion of its people, it makes sense to follow these rich folks when setting national targets to cut carbon dioxide emissions, the authors wrote on Monday in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences

Lie number 2. It is not the rich who have these emissions. Think about the small business that runs construction or shipping. I have yet to see a millionaire get up at 4 in the morning to sit behind the wheel of a 972 cat loader.

The study suggests setting a uniform international cap on how much carbon dioxide each person could emit in order to limit global emissions; since rich people emit more, they are the ones likely to reach or exceed this cap, whether they live in a rich country or a poor one.

By counting the emissions of all the individuals likely to exceed this level, world leaders could provide target emissions cuts for each country. Currently, the world average for individual annual carbon emissions is about 5 tons; each European produces 10 tons and each American produces 20 tons.

Note how they claim the average American has twice and then four times the individual emissions of anyone else. Hard to believe after visiting countries like China, India, or any industrial emerging third world nation.

Rich people's lives tend to give off more greenhouse gases because they drive more fossil-fueled vehicles, travel frequently by air and live in big houses that take more fuel to heat and cool.

By focusing on rich people everywhere, rather than rich countries and poor ones, the system of setting carbon-cutting targets based on the number of wealthy individuals in various countries would ease developing countries into any new climate change framework.

AHA! Note how it is the rich who automatically pollute more just because they are rich. It is assumed that they travel more. I think that when they travel that they also stay in one location longer as well, thus less emissions?

When directly asked about this being a tax, just to tax the rich. Spokesman Shoibal Chakravarty of the Princeton Environment Institute said.

Is this a limousine-and-yacht tax on the rich? Not necessarily, but he did not rule it out: "We are not by any means proposing that. If some country finds a way of doing that, it's great."

So a tax on the wealthy just because they are wealthy is welcomed. This smacks or redistribution of wealth. Not only is it being proposed but cheered and encouraged to happen.

US manned space flight in doubt 40 years after moon walk

After the Columbia space shuttle disaster in 2003, former president George W. Bush decided to phase out the shuttle flights by 2003 and set a more ambitious mandate for America in space.

Launched in 2004, the so-called Constellation program aims to take Americans back to the moon by 2020 to use as a launch pad for manned voyages to Mars.

President Barack Obama has named a commission of experts to review the US manned space flight program and make recommendations by the end of August.

The space shuttles, which have carried crews of astronauts into space since 1981, were conceived as reusable vehicles to transport heavy, bulky equipment into Earth's orbit, primarily for the construction of the International Space Station.
But the shuttle has kept the United States stuck in a low orbit for too long at a time when other countries like China are emerging as rivals in space, argues Michael Griffin, the former NASA chief who championed the Constellation program.

NASA's budget is not big enough to cover the cost of Constellation's Orion capsule, a more advanced and spacious version of the Apollo lunar module, and the Ares 1 and Ares V launchers needed to put it in orbit.

Constellation is projected to cost about 150 billion dollars, but estimates for the Ares 1 have skyrocketed from 26 billion dollars in 2006 to 44 billion dollars last year.

With a space exploration budget of six billion dollars in 2009, Senator Bill Nelson of Florida said: "NASA simply can't do the job it's been given -- the president's goal of being on the moon by 2020."

Nelson, a former astronaut, deplored that between 2020 and 2015 the United States will have no way of transporting its astronauts to the ISS except aboard Russian Soyuz space craft.

The commission chairman, respected former Lockheed Martin chief executive Norman Augustine, said it comes down to money.

"With a few exceptions, we have the technology or the knowledge that we could go to Mars if we wanted with humans. We could put a telescope on the moon if we wanted," he said.

"The technology is by and large there. It boils down to what can we afford?"

So if it is only a matter of money, how about thinking it out. Weighing the benefits of new tech versus not having the new tech. It was after all the space program that lead to the standard of living today. The transistor, home computers, cell phones, flat screen television. All products from the space program.

If we had responsibile and fiscal reality in Washington, then there would be no problem with finding the money for NASA.

The "cap and tax" bill is a another stimulus lie. Once again a vote was made and passed on the idea of good intentions without any study of what they voted on. This bill is nothing more then a move further down the road to a fascist state run government. It has nothing to do with the actual concept of cap and trade. It dose cap income and it does tax all. It taxes the poor , the middle class and the rich all evenly.

While this is being forced upon us. President Obama demonstrates that he is either totally out of his league or that he is INCOMPETENT as not only a thinker but leader as well.

So far Obamanation is on a full court press against American workers who are struggling to get ahead and make a better life for themselves. His no taxes on the middle income and the poor. Here look at your daily expenses and say he told the truth.

1) No drilling for fossil fuels = higher prices at the gas pumps.

2) No drilling = higher home heating prices

3) No new coal plants = higher heating prices and electric bills

4) Taxes on cigarette's = higher expenses for the poor and middle income, they are the ones who smoke

5) $1300 new tax on automobiles = higher monthly payments for anyone who drives a vehicle

6) Stimulus aid = generations of indentured servitude of the masses in this country. No new jobs created (where are the statistics that say jobs created? ) No loans from the banks for those who need it (small businesses, home improvement loans, vacations?)

7) The Climate Control myth = expensive regulations that effect the middle income because they do not qualify for aid in these programs

The list is much longer and it is growing on a daily bases. The truth is out there and the lies from this regime of Obama, Pelosi, Frank, and the left is massive. With health care being the next target of government attack. It is only a matter of time before the American worker gives p and the economy collapses totally because every one is on the dole.

A determination as to who the little people really are that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid , Barney Frank, and President Obamanation are looking out for. The world is a more dangerous place. North Korea is now threatening Nuclear war if they are opposed. Iran is massacring their own citizens as Washington, once the light on the hill for freedom darkens its beem. Mexico is sending armed troops across our borders to escort drug dealers and their shipments into this country. Russia is rebuilding the Soviet Union, while China is economically and militarily on the march.

Claims of "we will be energy independent" are distorted and spun. The limiting of American natural resources and technology on the home front, yet an export of monies and tech are on the go. The environmental left uses and abuses the legal system to dictate lifestyles to the American people, yet they live high on the hog doing what the refuse to let every one else do. The latest government grab on our freedom comes with a close vote in which the majority of Congressional Representatives ignored the best interest of the American citizenry, and passed a massive tax bill disguised as a climate (global warming myth) legislation.

President Obama came on television and cheered this boondoggle and praised the effort being made at destroying this country.

This is the hope and change that the left and ill informed, uneducated, slackers voted for. When the bills come due for these welfare and preposterous programs, just who is going to cough up the funds? News flash! It won't be the " evil rich ", but the poor and middle class who front the funds for this.
