Colorado Schools, More Funding, Say What?

Reading the Rocky Mountain rag this morning. I came across the speakout page. Usally worth a laugh or two, even three. An editorial stood out. Thisone about the CSAP testing and its inability to prove anything except that the schools need more funding across the board. Wait let me phrase that in the terms Judy Solano used:

"Testing more does not change the results. Equal opportunities, fair funding and effective resources affect learning."

Say what? Fair funding, equal opportunity, affect learning for who?

Lets verify as to how she comes to this conclusion:

"Graduation rates have dipped from 82 percent in 2002 to 74 percent in 2006. For minorities, the numbers are even more distressing. Graduation rates among Hispanics dropped 9 percent, to 56.6 percent. For African- Americans, the graduation rate plunged from 74 percent to 63 percent in 2006.

In just four years, the achievement gap between whites and minorities has widened.

CSAP scores have changed very little from year to year. Last year’s test results indicate 70 percent of students who scored unsatisfactorily three years ago remain unsatisfactory today. High school scores can be described as unchanged.

Forty percent of fifth- graders who scored “advanced” on CSAPs in third grade scored “proficient” this year. Are our smart third graders being “dumbed down” as they become fifth graders?"

So far she has qualified that CSAP does not work by stateing the overall results by ethnic grounds. CSAP is not a failure. It is a success. CSAP is not here to grade the students but the teachers and the system. The biggest misunderstood, or propagandised by teacher union activists.

Overall the tests are illuminating. They definately show the problems with the system. The system is broken and it is not the students, or the ethnic makeup of the students. The problem is with the system and the teachers union. A union that wants to social engineer and not teach. Keep their tenure and take it easy till retirement.

Judy Solano goes on to spew the economic leftists line of equality without stateing any supporting facts. Here is what she says:

"One of the strongest correlations in this data-driven-assessment world we have created is that the higher the population of low-income students, the lower the CSAP scores. Eight of 10 students participating in the free or reduced-price lunch program are enrolled in the bottom 10 percent of schools in terms of performance. The higher the family income, the higher the test scores. Only five of 100 students participating in free or reduced-priced lunch program are enrolled in the top 10 percent of schools."

She claims here that it is an economic problem that prevents students from improving and getting better scores. Trying to give credence to her need of money for the system with an equal distribution of said funds. As if this will solve the p[roblem.

What is not mentioned is her support for the hispanic community, her support for unions and specifically the teachers union. No mention of social problems linked to bilingual education failures. Less authority in the class room for teachers with problem students. The systems failure to deal with gang members and drugs in the school.

If she really wanted to voice a few solutions she may want to consider the teaching curriculum. The current social engineering bull crap that passes in this state does the children no favors. By rewriting history, injecting politics into history , not social studies (something few teacherstoday understand the differance in), and setting standards that teach not dumb down the student populance. Then maybe her word might be considered intelligent.

As of now it shows her bias, racial tendancies and left leaning views.

I-70 Woes

Here we go again, down the only road we know. The Colorado taxpayer has to keep Ski Country USA happy by any means. Those who live and die (so to speak) by the tourism in the winter. We must subsidise their living.

In case you wonder I am being sarcastic!!!!!

Any one who lives or has traveled through Colorado knows about the congestion that is I-70 in the mountains. How traffic coming into the tunel cause a wait that can last several hours. A problem, for some. An inconvenance? Most certainly for others. A chance to observe the great mountain scenery, definately.

Whats the hopla all about? Well it seems that the Denver Democrat's, lead by Sen. Chris Romer. Want to set up a toll for those who use this corridor. Sounds plausable, actually it sounds good. A toll to be levied on those who use this highway and passage to the mountains.

However an alternate plan, by Sen. Andy McElhany, R-Colorado Springs, was passed. A plan to charge drivers a toll of up to $5 each way at the Eisenhower Tunnel was approved instead by the Senate Transportation Committee with a 5-2 vote.

Ok a money maker there. A stupid one , but a money maker. Why is this plan stupid? Simple. Much of the congestion is caused by the traffic going into the tunnel. So why would you put a toll at the tunnel and force the traffic to stop there. This will cause more backups dictates common sense. Oh no it won't you say. The electronic pass can come into play. OK good come back but have at you. Will out of staters really stop and purchase an electronic pass for a one time or a a few times useage over the coarse of years. I don't think so.

So now it comes down to reality. How much will the Colorado tax payer have to dig out of his ever shortening pockets to pay for the widening of the tunnels and highway? Good question. Answer, probaly millions if not billions. Billions is more likely. Seeing how the airport was such a cost effective construction. With overruns and poor contract work. If the state leads the way in overseeing any part of this it will cost you and me a lot more then I am willing to pay.

So then what is my solution. Well first the state must QUIT kowtowing to a private organization like Ski Country USA. A simple user fee can be placed on ski passes and the resorts. Not a huge fee but a minor one of a penny per several dollars. Ski Country has no issue with raising the rates on passes to make money, so they should not have a problem with this. Seeing how the tax payer bails them out all the time anyway. The get free reign over CDOT with demands on the highway.

Do not tell me different either. I worked for CDOT on the I-70 corridor and know from first hand experiance who runs the show.

Then we MUST ELECT OFFICIALS who think in the long term. Not in bandaids for problems. Look at T-REX a bandaid for a problem that didn't go away but is still there. CONGESTION.

I am a native to this state, meaning I was born and raised here. Not an implant from Texas or California. The issue of front range and mountain congested traffic has been around siince the 60's. All we as Colorado citizens have recieved is platitudes and quick fixes that in the end only cost more money. We need a long term solution to these problems.

A proposed rail from Ft. Collins to Pueblo. First proposed in the early 70's. A good idea.

A proposed rail system from Denver to Vail, another good idea, although some logistical road blocks. But not insurmountable.

Alternatives to quick fixes and bandaids is needed. A long term solution, or options are needed. Not another hand in, every few years into our pockets.

Denver Broncos

A little change of pace here. A quick diversion from the same old insane topic of politics.

A look at the Denver Broncos and the fickle fans here in Denver.

Reading a op ed piece writen by the Bronco, more specific Mike Shanahan hateing Dave Krieger. Krieger implies that part of the moves being made here in the off season have something to do with the fact that the coach, Mike Shanahan has sold his home in favor of a new one. Ok so the new home is huge in comparison to his old one. The fact he sold his old home before the market went topsy turvy, and pocketed 16 million. This in no way has anything to do with his decisions for the team.

To imply that with the layoffs of 7 employees from the buisness side of the francise is part of a deal along with a house to be used as a ploy in negotiating owner vs player wages in an up coming labor arbitration is a stretch.

This smacks of conspirocy theories, and to be frank stupidity. Linking certain moves by free agents and the addition or subtraction of players to a behind the scenes moves by Pat Bowlin to cover up some sort of finacial problems. COM"ON!

What it is, is very simple. Or at least this is more plausable.

1) The Shanahan family is settleing into a retirement mode more then likely here in the Denver area. With a sound planning and hard work. Mike has provided for his family over the last 12 years and now they want to better themselves by building a bigger and nicer home.

2) Jason Elam, the highest scorer in Bronco history looks to cash in before he retires. Jason after having a huge run of success here in Denver and setting NFL records. Noteablely the longest field goal in history by a good yard,(look a the video of the placement of the ball, the hieght it passes through the uprights, and then the one kick by Dempsey of New Orleans who shares the record. Jason's was much further). Being a free agent, Jason looks to make some retirement cash while he is still on the top of his game. No great mystery here. Hence the move to Atlanta.

3)Jim Bates, defensive coach/coordinator? Laughable at best. Only on the job for one year he really did nothing with a defense that had major potential. Takeing one of the best defenses and turning them into one of the worst against the run and pass. Good bye and good luck Jim.

4)The offensive coordinator leaves for Tennesse. More money, an advancement perhaps and more envolvment of the running of an offense. An arguable point. Never the less he is gone. Not surpriseing after this last season.

5) Javon Walker ... gone. Big deal. He really was not that impressive last season as he spent most of it injured and is at the end of his career.

6) The addition of Champ Bailey's younger brother. A little nepitism? Maybe but should be a strong addition to the defense. Something the Broncs need.

Now to all the fans out there who want Shanahans head on a pike. I don't see any NFL owner knocking on your doors asking for advice, or offering you all a head coaching job.

To those who claim the only reason Denver won the super bowl was because of Terrel Davis. Some football efficenados you are. The fact that straight up running, combined with simple and proving blocking scemes. Ones like simple tackle traps, combined with a precision arm of Elways made for an excitng and noteable offense. One that is not given credit. Statistically speaking the second best if not the best offensive season on record!

But hey lets not ever look at the stats from that year and only rely on what the television bias tells us of Montana, Farve, and Manning. All of which are subpar in talent compared to Elway. FACT PEOPLE!!!

John Elway did more with less then the others ever dreamed of.

So in conclusion what do we think. Interesting moves in the off season. A new look for the Broncs in the 2008 season, with a different coching staff, players and hopefully attitude. More heart perhaps. Something they lacked this last year. Evidance from the Chicago game. No heart equates to a loss.

I look foward to the up coming season as I do every year.

GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!

Will Dems remember?

Come November will Democrats remember how their party has worked to disinfrancise their own party members votes?

As operation Caos is in full swing. An operation that was started by the dems and the MSM when they poked their noses into the republican primaries. Democratic voters are being told that their party will decide what is best.

After a 1984 change in the way the democratic party primaries was installed. The use of super delegates. Nancy Pelooza states that it is unfair to have super delegates. Howard Dean, wants to not count two states and their vote. Does this not seem like voter suppresion to any one else?

As the liberal left implodes on who they think will socialize this country faster, Barack Hussien Obama or Hillery Rodham Clinton. Other leftists are still trying to rig an election.

Now we know that the dems have a long history of voter fraud. From the dead voting in Chicago, to multiple votes in Mississippi and Louisianna, to voter suppresion by Al Gore of the military in Florida. Ohio and Florida chads debate nonsense, ect, ect.

Nancy Pelosi is catching flak over her disapproval of the super delegate system. Threats of pulling funding from her relelction campaign are starting to come in. Her claim of strong arm tactics from the Clinton corner, are un American. She claims she has not endorsed a candidate as of yet. Well that may be offically the word. However her actions show her left leanings with remarks that support Obama and not her feminist sister Hillary.

Delegate numbers show that neither Obama or Hillary will win the nomination come time for the convention here in Denver. Niether having enough delegates. This includes the Florida and Michagan vote. Not giving Hillery enough delegates. Although it would put her in the lead over Obama. So now it is down to super delegates. A wierd way of deciding. As super dels can basically be bought off.

Super dels are over 800 in count and are supposed to vote as individuals not as represenitives of a precinct. In other words , giving them a power in the vote higher then the average party memeber.

So Nancy wants these votes changed and Howard Dean and Obama want to surpress two states and the people there. Why? Maybe because it gives Hillary the delegates and the popular vote in the Dem party.

Will the average democratic voter remember this come November of will they continue to support a party that claims they represent the people all the while ignoreing the people and their will?

Bend the rules, I am Mexican.

More proof that many Mexicans who come here do not want to assimilate to our culture but bring their own here and force us to change for them. A very selfish attitude from them I think. However I am sure there are many who would love to see our way of life go by the way. All in order to show the world we are enlightened and cultured.

Out of north Texas comes this story of a woman who is upset that she has been reprimanded for speaking spainish instead of english at work. Under claims of not knowing better, Julie Rios said she has received verbal and written warnings for talking in her native language. After being hired she says she was never told of this policy.

In February, she was issued a written warning about speaking Spanish. Julie Rios said she has received verbal and written warnings for talking in her native language. The memo issued by CoWorx read: "You are being issued your first written warning for not adhering to company policy by speaking English only when communicating with others on the production floor."

Looking at these facts and what she claims. She has been told of the company policy but ignored it untill she was given an official reprimand in writing. "This is my first language, Spanish, and it's hard for me sometimes when I'm speaking. I have to stop and think what I'm going to say in English," Rios said.

Her comment here makes me wonder then if she is here on a visa or just crossed the boarder. Part of a work visa is the expectation that the recipiant speak with an understanding of being able to communicate in English.

CoWorx's, the company who hired Julie Rios, parent company, Foxconn, did not specifically address the allegations made by Rios, but issued the following written statement.

"Foxconn is a minority-owned international company with numerous locations throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. Due to the extensive diversity of the company and the great plethora of languages spoken at our various global locations, it is necessary to ensure that business meetings are conducted in a consistent language to ensure solid communication between all parties and avoid any potential misunderstandings."

This seems resonable enough and logical. However Julia does not see it this way. "I don't think it's right. I have the right to speak whatever language I want … They knew we were Mexicans," she said. "They shouldn't have hired Mexican people."

So useing her logic because she speaks spainish first we as a country should cater to her. That we should just change all of our culture to fit around her. Julia has a good job, benifiets, and an incoming check. But this isn't good enough for her. Living in a foriegn country not of her native birth. The country needs to catter to her and bend the rules all because she is hispanic.

I wonder if she thinks it is unfair that this company she works for doesn't speak spainish in the orient should she work up the ladder and be given a position in the orient.

For the record, English is accepted as the language of buisness around the worlds. Like it or not, it just is.

Re-create 68: loony lefties and idealogs

Recreate 68 is all up in arms here in Denver because they are not being given preferntial treatment. The fact that they did not under the lottery get their choice of protest sites for the DNC they hint at some serious problems for the DPD come August.

So what and who are these people. Simple answer .... NUTJOBS.

Long answer ...... a group or individuals on the left side of the ideological spectrum that think they have been mistreated since before their birth. That by the very act of someone who opposes them in thinking that it is hate/racist/phobia based acts. This is a group of left over activists from the sixties. Who with the aid of brainwashed youth want to relive their "glory days" from the past.

You do not agree with me? Fine you don't have to. This is what makes America great. However disagree with these clowns and your a facist.

Lets look at their Statement of Non-Violence & Principles, which is posted on thier website: http://www.recreate68.org/album1_dnc_012.htm

Opening statment: We are committed to resisting and overturning a system of violence inflicted daily on people of this country and the world, and against the natural environment, by political and corporate power, in the pursuit of profit. We are resolved that our group will not instigate violence against human beings as a means to end this system of violence and injustice. However, we recognize the right of the people to self-defense and community defense.

Hmmm, sounds like a manifesto from Che Guerrrverrrrrra, or any communist looking to oppress others. Notice how they clairify that they will not INSTIGATE any violance , and the claim of injustice against others. However they have already threatend some sort of injustice come time for the DNC by occuping others legally obtained protest sites. See how they hide behind the self protection clause here. Community defense, who is to say what constitutes a need for this defense.

Lets look at their 10 Mutual Assurances Between Groups And Organizations Planning DNC Related Activities:

1)To publicly support rights of free speech, the right to organize, and the right to dissent for all. (only if the speech is in favor of their stance)

2)To maintain solidarity with and respect the guidelines of all permitted activities, recognizing that there are many individuals who seek a safe and peaceful protest. (not to confront others who may be more radical then they are?)

3)To support and participate in efforts to assure civil liberties for everyone in Denver, including the right to organize civil disobedience and nonviolent direct action without that organizing being criminalized or disrupted. ( to support the right to dissrupt and over shout any and all who have opposeing view points. To see that these disturbances should not be charged as crimes unless it is against someone who is of the same mindset as the left)

4)To speak out against any pre-emptive arrests, raids on activists spaces, or attacks on independent journalists and other media. (to watch over the police and harrass them at all turns. making sure that warrents and investigations are all overseen by those who have no clue as to what police and preventive measures are)

5)To be conscious of and speak out against police targeting and differential treatment of people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, accent, or appearance. (hmm, this is actually a good thought, however the law already does this. oh no in their eyes it does not because the white man still does not feel guilty enough for false crimes that may or may not have been commited in the past)

6)Not to turn people over to the police, or share information with the police about other groups. (lets claim to be for the average person but when it comes down to it. screw the average joe by not stepping forth and witnessing crimes, because these crimes are commited against those we hate. sounds a lot like islam to me. A crime commited against a nonmuslim is not a crime)

7)Not to publicly criticize the tactics used by other parts of our movement or cooperate with media efforts to be divisive or portray good protester/bad protester.
(just a continuance of the effort to push the left agenda over the truth at all times)

8)To publicly condemn police repression and brutality. (oh now they want to condem police actions as all being repressive and brutal. If they are assualted will they call for the police then?)

9)To be conscious that if violence or property destruction does occur, we will do what we can to help prevent it from being blown out of proportion and dominating the media coverage. (in other words lets spin this and blame neocons on all events)

10)To remember that, when all is said and done, our greatest victory will be an activist community with a renewed sense of strength and unity. (ah ha their goal is reveled.an activist community that ignores federal and state authority when it may conflict with their beliefs. Do they not already have this community? Is it not called Boulder? But wait they want to expand and force all to comply with their beliefs and subscribe to their ideas)

I can't wait to watch these idiots in action. I wonder how many and whos civil rights they will violate in the name of their ideology.

If you want to support these nutjobs. They can be found holding WORKING MEETINGS
Every Thursday at 6:30 pm (until further notice)
Gypsy House Cafe, 1279 Marion St., Denver

So if you plan to attend make sure you wear your little red berret and carry your little red book. Display your impeach bumper stickers and leave your brain at home.

Another Reason NOT to bail out Morgage Companies

Here is another reason not to bail out the finacial market and their lack of follow up or through, or even doing basic backgrounds. When these companies rack the average Joe over the coals and want to know why you did not pay the paperboy his money in 1979, they should have at least figured this out sooner.

A recent 45-page indictment, the culmination of a two-year investigation by state and federal agencies, was released. A real estate broker and nine others were members of a crime ring that stole $1.1 million in a mortgage scheme involving dozens of properties around the Denver area, were named on Monday.

The broker, Uto Essien, orchestrated the fraudulent operation, negotiating purchases and directing buyers to set up shell corporations. Mortgage broker Scott Hinkley, loan processor Jennifer Wolsey an Essien employee Idara Ekiko. The indictment also names Bradley Decker, Cheri Decker, Jessica Decker, Heather Etuk, Jessica Caplan and Enoh Etuk.

Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said at a news conference Argent Mortgage, Cherry Creek Mortgage, CIT Group, Decision One Mortgage and Finance America are on the list of companies Essien sought to cheat over a two-year period between early 2004 and late 2006.

Hinkley worked with Wolsey to get loans by overstating the buyers' income and understating their debts, Suthers' office alleged. This is where we should not bail out these morgage companies for their lack of follow through. By not doing a second research on the so called borrowers and only accepting the word of the crooks who knowingly were defrauding loan information.

If the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Adams and Broomfield county prosecutors and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, could figure tis out. One would think that the banks would notice when they first started the loan processes.

However this is only the tip of the iceburg. As the MSM wants to tell us everyday that the houseing market is sinking this country. More and more of these frauds are coming to light. Translucent scams to not only screw over the average buyer with questionable rates, but to scam the banks out of money. Our federal government wants the tax payer to pick up the tab on bad buisness practices.

Jeremy Paxman, BBC putz

Does anyone really give credit to a broadcasting company that is looseing more creditablility then CBS? They must ... what a shame.

BBC America offers what they call real news and interviews. After suffering through a self imposed, mind numbing hour every night for three weeks. I can not see this. What is delivered is a diatribe of left wing koolaid that bashes the United States, and offers no indepth analysis.

The worst of these offenders is the Jeremy Paxman. One who is supposed to be critically acclaimed as a hard hitting, no softball throwing interviewer and newsman. What I have seen is a left winger who if you disagree with him goes for the repete of left wing rhetoric that has no basis of fact to it. Then over shouts his guest and does not allow an answer or the other side of the story.

In his socalled hard hitting interviews about the Iraqi war, and war on terrorism. he interviews many world figures who were at the front of either proposeing this war or opposeing it.

He keeps a level and pleasent tone while interviewing those who support in a form radical islamofacists and their murder of innocents. Yet when he interviews those who stand for freedom and individual rights he gets an accusal tone, raises his voice, and then asks questions that Donald Rumsfield would have scolded him for. Questions that have no real answer unless you are a conspiracy theorist.

This man is nothing more then a cheap knock off of a Dan Rather. A Dan Rather we all know who has lost it in his political ideology and hatred for conservatism. Well past his prime and any integrity that a joournalist is supposed to have.

If this is what the BBC is trying to pas off to America as journalistic talent then we are better off with out it. I will stick with Fox. At least with Fox I know they research their stories and offer both sides.

Gov. Ritter steps backwards

Colorado schools are no mystery. As the level of education plummets in Colorado due to social engineering, students are less preparded for the real world when graduating High School. So what does our beloved Govenor do? He outlines a plan that looks very much like stepping backwards and implementing things that worked but were removed from the curriculum for p.c. self esteem matters.

Gov. Bill Ritteron Wednesday afternoon at the State Capitol, outlined his comprehensive education reform ideas.

The goal is to dramatically reduce Colorado's drop-out rate. Gov. Ritter believes children are checking out because they don't believe the curriculum is relevant. This is a no brainer as what teen does not think they know best.

Ritter says he wants to shift the way courses are taught. Useing the example of geometry. If it needs to be learned by building a home instead of sitting at a desk, studying diagrams on an overhead, then students should head to a construction site. Hmmmm, sounds like a vocational program. Something that was eliminated from most if not all Colorado schools not to long ago.

Ritter and both Democratic and Republican lawmakers gathered on the west steps of the Capitol, ( a massive photo op), to discuss what they call the boldest education plan in Colorado in decades.

A bold plan? Only in the fact that now they are recogniseing that the liberal p.c. bunk being taught is not working to prepare teens for the real world.

"We believe it's time to push hard against the status quo. Create a bold new vision for education in the state of Colorado. A vision that very much begins with the end in mind," said Ritter. "It moves away from an emphasis on seat time and instead focuses on standards learning and standards can demonstrate what they've learned."

Very fancy words that really say. Our scores prove that our standards in basic education are falling and we need to do something about it. So lets not look at the obvious. The lack of qualified teachers and a teachers union that is brain washing and social engineering our youth. But look at the curriculum that has gone south.

Ritter quickly points out that this does nothing to take away from Colorado's assessments, but changes them to make them more relevant. Changes them to be more revelant? Again trying to cover up the fact that the scores show a lack of ability to teach and methods to teach that do NOT WORK.

Another stupid stamwent comes from the other side of the isle. "Let's be clear. Colorado does not set the standards, the world does. Our only choice is whether or not we want to meet those standards. With this bill, we're taking a significant step in that direction," said Rep. Rob Witwer (R-Evergreen).

WHY??? Why cannot Colorado set the standards? There once was a time when America did set the standards in education for the world. However 20 plus years of dumbing down in an effort by progressive thinkers to equal out in their mind the educational playing field has dropped our standards to an almost third world status.

So again I ask why cannot Colorado move foward and set the world standards for education. Could it be we do not have the qualified teachers? Or is it because it would mean the teachers union would lose control of their power in state politics as well as national leverage.

The hint of bringing back Vocational education by Govenor Ritter is a step in the right direction.

Columnist Paul Campos: Is a laughable assertion

Rocky Mountain columnist Paul Campos in his recent column asserts that Hillary Clinton is laughable in her statment of being a commander and chief. What is laughable is that the Rocky keeps this arrogant leftist on staff.

Campos goes after Hillary and tries to highlight her failings. Something that is not hard to do. Then he attacks John McCain for his correct stance on the war in Iraq. Here is where Campos becomes the laughable part of his own story. He states the same old left leaning antiwar rhetoric we here from the code pink crowd.

"Let's review here. This week marks the fifth anniversary of the Bush administration launching one of the biggest foreign policy disasters in the nation's history - the invasion and occupation of Iraq. That ongoing adventure has wrecked a country, killed hundreds of thousands of people, cost hundreds of billions dollars (and eventually perhaps $3 trillion), and created the world's largest refugee crisis (2 million Iraqis have fled or been driven from their homes).

John McCain was and is an enthusiastic supporter of the decision to invade and occupy Iraq. Hillary Clinton's most important contribution to American foreign policy, so far, was her decision to vote to authorize all this - something the majority of her fellow Democrats in Congress refused to do. And she remained a prominent cheerleader for the occupation for many months after it began.

Leave aside Clinton's dubious claim that she has more relevant experience than Obama for the office of commander in chief. After all, even if this were the case, we care about experience only because we believe that, on average, experience helps people do a better job.

In other words, what really matters isn't experience but performance. And in regard to the biggest foreign policy issue of their careers, the performance of Clinton and McCain has been catastrophic."

What is funny is that while he tries to knock any and all things done by the two other presidential candidates, he fails to bring forth one thing his candidate of OBAMA has done to show his experiance and leadership. Not a single thing can be brought foward as Obama has nothing to offer or bring to the table other then platitudes of hope and change. Not one real viable plan of action.

Again another suppoedly enlightened thinking progressive who lets his hatred for conservatism block any workable ideas on foriegn policy. Paul Campos is supposed to be an educated man. However his retread of leftist propaganda, lack of supporting evidance, and missing logic shows his ignorance on foriegn policy. This ignorance is only a copy of the ignorance being shoveled off at us by a man who wants to be president.

Granted Hillary has very little experiance in the Senate on thes matters. Her time as first lady though has given her much more education in dealing on a world level then that of a racist preacher who is antisemite and anti white. Barack Hussien Obama lacks not only experiance but knowledge in the affairs of state.

Colorado spins Illegal Aliens

The Rocky Mountain News reports on how well Colorados tough stance on ILLEGAL ALIENS is now, (LMMFAO!!!!!!!).

In 2006, the Colorado state legislatures, as part of a very weak package of bills to crack down on illegal immigration, passed a law requiring ALL police agencies to alert ICE officials when they detained or stopped someone they suspected of being an ILLEGAL or having entered the U.S. illegally. Despite Boulder, Denver, Commerce City, among others declareing themselves as sanctuaries. This State law supercedes local ordances. The number of suspected illegal immigrants turned over to federal authorities by Colorado law enforcement agencies reportedly dropped 40 percent last year, when compared on a per month to month with the mandatory reporting law's first year.

The figures LIE! What is being done is a lack of reporting by these agencies. They are turning a blind eye to the invasion still going on.

The law went into effect in June 1, 2006, and police agencies flooded ICE with names, referring about 15,200 people over the next seven months. Supposedly figures on medical claims and school enrollment back up the idea that the number of immigrants here illegally has declined.

This is false as the way these figures are factored and by who does the data collecting. With more and more open boarder and illegal sympathisers in positions of reporting law breakers. They simply fail to do their job.

If one wants to see that the increase in ILLEGAL ALIENS is still on the rise. Simply go to any construction or landscaping job site. Look around at any fast food resturant. You will find it harder and harder to communicate in ENGLISH. With less and less White and Blacks holding jobs.

The medical community is a main player in the aidding of ILLEGALS. As most are bleeding hearts. Unfortunately they are required by law to offer services to all who enter their doors. However the fact that they pass the expense on to CITIZENS of this country and state is a CRIME. Not worring about payment from ILLEGALs they are more then happy to up the charges on the rest of us to cover the expense of treating ILLEGALS. Knowing full well that aliases and false addesses are recorded on payment forms. The lack of reporting this to any government agency is not only disgusting but a violation of the 2006 law.

Colorado Legislatures are trying to spin the facts in this election year in favor of votes. Spinning the truth to give a false light of get tough on immigration stances. No mater how you look at it. The state supports and gives aid to those who break the law all the while forceing the Colorado taxpayer to pick up the tab.

I do not condone the denying of services to anyone who needs it. I just think it should be fairly applied with CITIZENS getting first crack at help. Be it finacial or medical. The government is in place to take care of the citizenry first.

Viable Alternative Colorado Energy

With all the talk of high gas prices. New taxes being proposed on sales of gasoline for automobiles, and recreational vehicals, Colorado needs to really consider a viable alternative energy.

Naturally we here have the ability for this. Wind power is something that is natural and non pollutive in form. Some facts about this:

http://www.eere.energy.gov/states/alternatives/resources_co.cfm

Wind Powering America indicates that Colorado has wind resources consistent with utility-scale production. Significant contiguous areas of good resource with embedded regions of excellent resource are found in the eastern quarter of the state. The excellent resource areas within the eastern quarter of Colorado are concentrated near the New Mexico and Nebraska borders. An area of excellent to outstanding resource is located along the Wyoming border north of Fort Collins. The exposed ridge crests of the Front Range, the Continental Divide, and in western Colorado also have good to outstanding wind resource. In addition, small wind turbines may have applications in some areas. For more information on wind resources in Colorado, visit Wind Powering America's U.S. Wind Resource Map.

The Renewable Energy Atlas of the West estimated the annual wind electricity generation potential in Colorado to be 601 billion kWh. The estimate excludes 100% of the following areas, which are assumed to be infeasible for wind development:

Landforms – land with a slope greater than 20%.
All National Park Service lands.
All fish and wildlife lands.
All Forest Service or BLM lands with "special" designations, such as national recreation areas or national wilderness areas.
All bodies of water.
Wetlands.
Urban areas.

The only draw back is that many of the greeners think that wind mills are ugly and detract from the landscape.

Colorado another Tax

Colorado voters need to wake up and beware of a new tax that they will be paying for. This tax is being disguised as a tax on Oil and Gas companies profiet revenues. A claim of raiseing $140 million in the first year it is in place is nice in theory but whos pocket will it really come from.

The tax is being described as additional funds for Colorados two major schools, the University of Colorado and Colorado State University. The measure, which would increase the severance tax on the industry from 5 percent to 6 percent. A small upgrade in theory, but an increase never the less.

It also would eliminate a property tax credit, further increasing the tax burden on oil and gas producers. However those tax increases would take effect only if the industry keeps operating at a healthy pace. This is the key phrase, health pace. A liberal term for making profiets. A way of punishing those who achieve while redistributing wealth.

Now who is to say that the companies are doing well or not doing well. What standard are they going to use to determine this. If the companies make only one dollar in profiet it is still a profiet. So does this mean that the comapnies need to pay higher taxes?

To break it down even more . Who is really going to be paying this new tax. It is the Colorado citizens who will pay this tax and not the companies. Buisness 101 teaches that companies and buisness , small and large pass on to the consumer the cost of taxes and overhead. For anyone to believe this does not happen means that they live in Boulder and lala land.

Colorado voters need to see through this reach into our pockets by government. Once again they are trying to take more money from us to pay for things we have already said no to. If the state wants more money for higher education then maybe they need to look at the rolls of welfare and eliminate many who have been recieving handouts.

Another proposal in the wings comes from enviormentalists. Environmental groups are proposeing in November another severance tax hike that would raise $200 million to $300 million in additional funds per year to preserve open space and fund clean-energy initiatives.

Should there pass by the voter the question is this. Will the money go to where the voters are told it will go, or will it be misspent and redistributed to yet more social programs that are not needed.

Good News: Correction to print

Dawn Wells appeared on Fox news this morning with her lawyer and set the record straight. Dawn Wells better known as Mary Ann on Gilligans Island was not charged with and was not guilty of possesion of marijuanna. The guilty party, unnamed in the interview did come foward and took responsibility for the drugs.

My faith is restored in some of humanity at this good news. I had jumped on the band wagon and exclaimed dissapointment in her for the report of the drugs. Now that she and her lawyer have come forth to clear the record I APOLOGISE TO HER FOR MY QUICK JUDGMENT.

It is refreshing to know and to hear that she is innocent and still leading a clean life. My fond memories are restored and my choice in the age old question of Ginger or Mary Ann remains the same ...... MARY ANN of coarse.

Romney vs. Obama, Religion?

In the early stages of the Mitt campaign. The Mormon religion was often questioned and brought up as a major issue. The fact that many if not most do not agree with or subscribe to the ideas of the mormons. Yet now that religion, or should I say ideology of religion (a big question mark on Obamas church there) should not be discussed and forgiven any transgressions.

Give me a fricken break. The Dems often let slip some thing or another in the way of questioning the doctrines of the Mormon Church. However now that their leading candidate has questionable ties to an obvious race hater in Jerimah Wright, the question of religion is to be left alone. This is political hyporcacy. Why? Because the doctrine of Obamas church is basic in its raced baiting and hatred. Jerimiah Wright subscribes to the idea that God is not a God of love if he supports any race but the black race. That their church rejects a God that loves everyone.

Why can not this belief be questioned? Why can not Obamas support for over twenty years to this belief be questioned? It should be! It should be examined and disected under a microscope. If Obama wants to be elected the most powerful man in the world. Then every aspect of his background and ideologies, along with core values need to be looked at.

Granted we are all human and have failings. However when one seeks the position of the person whom places their fingure on the button. We need to know how this person will respond under pressure and how they think. What do they believe in and just who do they listen to for advice and counseling. The last thing we need in the White House is a racist, bigot, and or hate mongerer.

Something that Obama has not come clear on and continues to hide in a fog with fancy political double talk.

Its Ok, Grandma was a racist

Wow, it has taken a little time to sift through the B.S. of a speech Barack Hussien Obama made, but I think I can brake it down to a couple of paragraphs.

First why did he have to make this speech? Simple, he supports a pastor and a curch that is very racists. It has been for over twenty years and will continue for many more I am afraid. His pastor the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, is a white and jew HATER. there is no doubt about this. His actions and words speak very loud and clear.

Barack knew this and has said nothing about it untill he was confronted by Fox News. Then what did he do? He lied! He sat there on a national broadcast and lied about ever hearing such perverse ideology of hate from his pastor and friend.

So now Barack finds himself in a bit of a pickle and has to worm his way out of this. This speech, a finely crafted, eloquently given, diatribe of horse pucky. (barack is a fine speaker when it is a speech, however his oratorial skills lack when he has to shoot off the cuff. Example his interview with Major Garret on Fox.)

In his speech instead of denounceing a racist and racist rhetoric from an extremist he takes the hatefull words and tries to spin them into it is ok. Compareing his grandmother and others of the GREATEST GENERATION to hate mongers and pathetic gimme gimme gimme activists. By his saying that he did not agree with his grandmother because she would make hateful remarks to a man who not only makes and believes in hateful remarks , but conspirocy theories and boulderdash is assinine.

Now, we are to accept that not only is his grandmother a racist but that he himself by association is a racist as well. If not a racist then he is an Uncle Tom.

It makes perfect sense does it not? If his grandmother is racist then it is ok. We all must be racist and therefor whatever hate filled bull Wright spews it is ok. What a great country to think that we can have a a possible President who not only hates this country but hates half its citezenry as well.

More Upstanding Migrants

Here are some more news worthy misplaced migrants as the libs like to say.

Inland Valley Daily Bulletin -- Ontario, Calif.
Illegal arrested for lewd act at school
Police arrested a San Bernardino man Wednesday after a teenage girl allegedly saw him masturbating in front of a middle school. -- The suspect, Chavez Moreno, was booked into West Valley Detention Center on suspicion of indecent exposure, annoying a minor and on a warrant for driving without a license. (gosh what a guy, think the libs will knight him?)

Austin American-Statesman
Mexican cop sentenced for Georgetown sex assault
A Mexican police officer will spend at least the next 60 years in prison for raping and impregnating a 12-year-old girl in Georgetown in 2006. -- Salvador Hernandez pleaded guilty last week to two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and a jury recommended that he serve 75 years in prison. (now this isthe type of official all children can look up to. no pun intended)

Houston Chronicle
Girl says she was kidnapped, used as sex slave
A 16-year-old Mexican girl told authorities she was being held against her will in Jacinto City and used as a sex slave since being smuggled into the country two months ago, authorities said today. -- The teen was found in a Jacinto City home after she cleverly used her captor's cell phone and called 911. (these poorly misunderstood people even pray on their own. See they have no respect even for their own. This what we want to give amnesty to?)

Grand Junction (Colorado) Sentinel
Man, 61, faces third deportation after arrest
A Mexican citizen who has been deported twice, including once after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a child, could be heading for this third deportation following a recent arrest in Montrose. -- Saloman Renteria-Valdez was taken into federal custody in January after federal agents confirmed he had been arrested.
(does he qualify as a third time offender? Nope a quick trip paid for by our tax dollars and he will probly be back by this spring.)

Just a few stories from around the nation on these fine upstanding misplaced, misunderstood migrants. In other words more trash from south of the boarder that our government refuses to deal with on any real level.

Mothballed Boarder Security?

At every turn we here how ILLEGAL ALIENS cross the boarder from Mexico at will. Our government claims that they are doing their best. This is a CROCK!!!!!!!

Even Govenor Janet Napolitano sees the lack of concern from the feds. In a letter to Homeland (JOKE) Security Secretary Michael Chertoff. She expresses concern.

"I have always believed that drawing down Operation Jump Start would be a mistake," Napolitano wrote Tuesday in a two-page letter to Chertoff.

(OPERATION JUMP START WAS THE NATIONAL GUARD SUPPOSEDLY PATROLLING THE BOARDER.)

"Now that promised improvements in border-security measures will not come to pass any time soon, the federal government has no excuse to scale back the program. Common sense dictates that the drawdown should stop and that a continued high National Guard presence should be maintained."

The end of Operation Jump Start comes along with reports that the development of the virtual border fence has hit significant problems. The system of cameras and sensors was intended to help fill border gaps between physical barriers and Border Patrol personnel. A system that has recieved much critisism form the start. A system that is being delayed by budget promises and withdrawl of funds by our elected officials only after giving lip service to American Citizens.

In late February, Homeland Security officials told a congressional oversight panel that the system being built near Sasabe doesn't work. That much of its technology may need to be replaced. But isnt this supposed to be top of the line , new tech? So why does it have to be replaced? (contracts go to the lowest bidder is why.)

While Sec.Chertoff insists that the plan to secure the boarder wasn't being "mothballed". Agency officials went before congress and testified that plans to expand the system to the Yuma and El Paso areas were being delayed until 2011. Until 2011, now is that what was said to us, the voters?

"Real solutions to fix our broken borders cannot wait that long," Napolitano also told Chertoff. "While we wait for real progress on the 'virtual fence,' border communities in Arizona will continue to be strained by the millions of dollars in costs they must absorb due to the state of border security."

At least Arizona and Janet recognise the problem of invaders/ILLEGAL ALIENS. Since Arizona is a major point of this invasion, and is leading the way against it, (although Oklahoma is a close second). The federal government needs to extend the National Guard on the boarder, quit wasteing money with tech, and just build the DAMN FENCE.

Democrat a racist?

Is Geraldine Ferraro a racist? With her repete of comments she made back in 1988 when she was a failed V.P. candidate. She said "If Jesse Jackson were not black, he wouldn't be in the race."

Ferraro told the Daily Breeze of Torrance, Calif, on March 7th: "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept."

Hmmmm, interesting. This sounds like a very racist comment to me. It implies alot of sterotyping. But we all know that Democrats arn't racial at all. Just because they have a former KKK Grand Visor in office. That they do all they can to keep minorities on the dole and not help them out other then a check once a month.

Wonder how far this would go if a conservative had said something like this. We allknow it would be front page news and opening story on the evening news.

Another icon Falls Hard

Oh what a shame it is. That is if you are not a pot smoking idiot.

Do you remember Mary Ann on Gilligans Island? The girl next door who raised more then the chickens. Well if you were a fan you know her name is Dawn Wells. It seems that Dawn has fallen from grace as back in October of last year she was busted.

The story follows:

http://www.tmz.com/2008/03/11/mary-ann-busted-with-mary-jane/

Mary Ann -- More Like Mary Jane!!
Posted Mar 11th 2008 1:41PM by TMZ Staff

Dawn Wells, the actress that played Mary Ann on "Gilligan's Island," was busted with marijuana in her car after driving home from her birthday party in Idaho -- and she's 69!

Wells was pulled over on October 18 after a Teton County sheriff noticed her swerve across the center lines of State Highway 33 and repeatedly speeding up and slowing down. A search produced four half-smoked joints and two small cases to store marijuana -- which she blamed on hitchhikers. Even Gilligan wouldn't buy that one!

Wells is now serving a three hour tour six months of unsupervised probation for the crime. She pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving and was sentenced last month to five days in jail, fined $410.50 and placed on probation.

What a shame this is. Such great memories of her, Skipper, Proffesor, ect. Now when I see reruns of the show all I wioll think of is how her and GFilligan were off smoking and ruinning their lives.

Why Barak is dangerous

"I offer change."

OK, what change? There is no substance that is benificial to the U.S. citizen. Lots of platitudes and promises. Most of which are not good for this country. There is a video from Obamas campaign that clearly should frighten any one in this country who wants to live in security.

On this video hwe talks about a few of the things he wants to do should he be elected. First he wanrts to withdrawl from Iraq. A complete puill out negating all the good we have done. Putting an end to the schools, hospitols and freedom brought to the Iraqi people. Next, on the home front he wants to slash governmnet spending. This is good but not as he wants to do it. He wants to put an end to military spending. In other words his talk of supporting the troops is a LIE. No more spending on advanced weapon systems, new weapons, and better equipment. He talks of eliminateing billions from the defense budget. A start, one we know all to well. When a liberal starts to cut the militaryt he also slashes personel as well. So in essance he wants to scale the military way back in a time of conflict. A conflict in which we cannot show any sign of weakness.

Now to a question I have yet to hear anyone ask. With all of hisa extended family in Kenya. How much will it cost the taxpayer to protect these people or will they get a free pass to become citizens? His grandmother, cousins ect. They pose a security problem for this country. A comprimiseing situation should they be kidnapped. After all they do live in a hotspot in the war on terror. Kenya is no safe zone as they are in the middle of a civil war outbreak between christians , islamofacist, and tribalist.

What happens if his family is taken? Does this mean he will send in the Marines to free them, pay them off with millions in extortion money? What happens?

No it is a fact that the church he belongs to and often praises is not American friendly, or Isreali friendly. This church doies more in activism then preaching. Advocating less foriegn aid to other nations and third world. Yet out of the same mouth demanding that more aid go stickly to Africa. They also demand reprations for slaverey. This is a scary thought. In a time when we are supposedly trying to move foward on the civil rights front. A group of hard core racists want to dig it up and make outlandish demands.

Just a few things to consider when you go to vote.

Want an Answer

Well I do not know if someone has some thin skin. It is a play to censor my voice. Or a misunderstanding. I have enjoyed recently the privlage of commenting on Michelle Malkins blog. I have rather enjoyed this.

Now however I am blocked from doing so. I have tried all weekend to get an answer as to why this is so. Till this moment I still have recieved no answer and am rather dissapointed with the webmaster or Michelle herself. I am sure she is flooded with all sorts of e-mail and requests and her time being a family oriented person keeps her rather busy. I just want an answer as to why I am blocked.

The lack of return answer, even a will look into it to a piss off and die would suffice. The being ignored when seeking an answer is not just disrespectful in the common courtesy but intolerable.

If any one reads this and has acces to her, I would appreciate an answer.

Thanks

Political Payback?

Wow are the liberals showing thier true leftist colors or what. Left wingers in Washington are coming out of the wood work in their support for an even further left winger.

Ted kennedy, John Kerry, Durbin are leading the way in the withdrawl of support for their icon of a year ago. Hillary Clintons base is disolving before our eyes and out from under her feet. As these leftist are throwing their weight around for the socialist Barack hussien Obama.

As the three stoogies of Washington, all with questionable leadershgip in theri own right. A long list of bad personal and proffesional decisions they want us, the voter to blindly follow their example and vote Obama for a leftist president.

I DON'T THINK SO.

Time for what Change?

It is time for change. A change in leadership. A change in the way Washington does buisness. A time for change in the direction this country is going. OK but what is the plan for this change? Who is qualified to lead this change? To where is the loyalty of this change lay?

Barack Hussien Obama claims and in a way is rightit is time for a change. But change what? How is he planning to change things. More importantly is this. What is his qualfications to lead this change?

I agree we have to change the directio in which this country is going. Further moves down the path to socialism is not the change I am looking for. Higher taxes and running from altercations around the world are not the changes I am looking for.

I want a leader who is not going to lie and spin what he and his WIFE says publicly to fit some poll showing disapproval of thier stanc on an issue. Barack claims he is the one to lead this change , yet ha has shown nothing new. He has offered nothing but platitudes of feel good slogans. He has demonstrated nothing new on the front of change.

This year congress really has done nothing. Sure the year is young but lets look at Baracks leadership so far this year.

Barack remains consitant undecided on this he did not vote.

This is just his record of change and leadership for this year 2008. His record since being elected to the United States Senate has been one of if not the worst in representing his constituants. He leads the way in not voting. A not voting is not a stance, nor is it leadership. It is the lack of leadership.

Here is some of the leadership bills barack has sponsered:

1. S.CON.RES.42 : A concurrent resolution recognizing the historical significance of the Juneteenth Independence Day, and expressing the sense of Congress that history should be regarded as a means for understanding the past and solving the challenges of the future.

2. S.CON.RES.53 : A concurrent resolution expressing the sense of Congress that any effort to impose photo identification requirements for voting should be rejected.

3. S.RES.291 : A resolution to congratulate the Chicago White Sox on winning the 2005 World Series Championship.

4. S.RES.516 : A resolution recognizing the historical significance of Juneteenth Independence Day and expressing the sense of the Senate that history should be regarded as a means for understanding the past and solving the challenges of the future.

5. S.RES.529 : A resolution designating July 13, 2006, as "National Summer Learning Day".

What a fine example of leadership, these are some real kicker bills here. A new holiday, recognition of baseball, and another day for learning. Yep it is a time for change but not Barack Hussien Obamas change.
