American Crossroad
We are entering a very scary time in our nations history. While we are under attack on fronts not only in distant lands but unfriendly governments are stirring up dissention among ethnic groups with in our boarders.
As an election looms this year, voters need to look long and hard at the results their vote will bring. The big picture so to speak. With a do nothing Republican controlled legislature and a cowardly Senate, is this what we voted for. Then on the other hand. A proven track record or no military love, lack of national pride, selling this country out to big buisness just as fast but more covertly then the Republicans. The Democrates are already threatening to hold up all legislation in order to go on political witch hunts. These hunts in retribution for not allowing more social entitment programs to be passed and exposeing the corruption within their party.
The international problems that we as a nation are faceing are being compounded by both parties. A lack of effort to secure the national safety, lack of pursueing a fuel policy, no basis to prop up the dollar versus foriegn currancy, letting the trade deficiet run rampped. The planning of increaseing entitlement programs that do not aid but hinder the average middle class tax payer.
A tax system that is out of control and does no good but line the pockets of the government. Allowing lawsuits to not only waste tax payer money by clogging up the system but being out of hand in the extravegant amount of settlements. This in which is also passed on to the tax payer by increase in product prices.
We have one party, the Democrates who want to increase the tax burden while increaseing the burden of cost of living. Wanting to turn and run in conflicts with others around the world while surrendering our role in international leadership.
The Republican party is not much better in this aspect as it talks a bold game for the middle east and Europe yet it is kowtowing to the socialist in Latin and South America. A lack of demanding that these countries who signed on to NAFTA are held to the standards of which they agreed. A fact that neither Canada nor Mexico have done.
Who are we to vote for? Who are we to allow to lead this country? Do we want a legislature that will be a do nothing for us while going after political retribution on their opponets. Or do we want a legislature that lacks the leadership to do what they are elected to do in our name.
I for one definately do not want a couple of years of political witchhunts in the name of political correctness being forced down my throat. In the name of enlightened progressive thinking .... nice way of saying socialism. But on the other hand I surely do not want a legislature that lacks inititive to do what is right for fear of being called names and having the MSM label them.
