The L.A.Times tries hard to spin the lack of or more appropriately the irresponsible spending that accured during the aftermath of hurricane Katrina on FEMA. Yes it is true that FEMA had some very poor managment. It did rack up some very strange spendatures. However to blame FEMA for the complete lack of common sense and extravegant spending that the hurricane victems made.

What the times is esurting is that it is governments job on everthing and that the individual has not to worry about personal responsibiltiy. This is one of the base principles of far radical leftist thinking. Government will take care of and provide for the people.

Here is how the times sums up its opinion of the Hurricane Katrine, Fema debacle:

It's easy, and necessary, to criticize FEMA's across-the-board incompetence in responding to the largest displacement of Americans since the Civil War. But obsessing about the spending habits of refugees comes perilously close to blaming the victim.

SO WHO IS TO BLAME THEN WHEN RELIEF MONEY IS HANDED OUT AND PEOPLE COME BACK FOR MORE MONEY BECAUSE THE NEW TELEVISIONS AND TATOOS THE HAVE DOESNT PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE AND A TEMPORARY ROOF OVER THEIR HEADS ..... LETS BLAME FEMA. HOW ABOUT BLAMING THOSE WHO ARE AT FAULT ... MAYBE FOR ONCE THE VICTEM IS RESPONSIBLE.
