Not enough troops?

For several years we have listened to the politicians cry we need more troops on the ground. That there is not enough manpower to take care of the insurgents in Iraq and Islamofacists in the middle east.

Well let me give you a quick history lesson. The largest, yes the largest empire in history was guarded and run by an army of less then 250,000 troops. Thats right less then 250,000.

No it was not Rome, or the Greeks. Not the Egyptians, or Persians. This empire stretched from China to eastern Europe and down into the middle east. Large portions of Russia all felt the ruleing hand of the MONGELS. Thats right Ghengis Khan. He ruled the largest empire in history and he did it with the smallest army.

How did he do this? It is simple he let his forces do what they trained to do. He killed those who opposed him and the LAW set forth under his rule. No debate, no ACLU activists calling on human right violations. He ruled as a ruler should. Fair and unbiased. The law was the law. Simple as that. No degrees as to intent or motivation.

This is what we HAVE to do. Allow the military to be the military. KILL THE ENEMY and destroy its base of operation. The enemy does not see any innocents here in women and children. They have set the ground rules. FINE ... LET'S PLAY BY THEIR RULES. Let them cry foul as they see thier world come crashing down and eliminated. Let them feel the pain and the wrath of those who want only peace and are willing to fight for it.

War is a last result and it is bloody and messy and simply violent. They want war so lets give it back tenfold unti those who want it.

If Ghengis Khan could do it with bows and arrows, horse back and sword with less then 250,000 men then I think we can send a clear message with 400,000 armed forces trained in the art of war.
