Colorados Emporer
Well excitment hits the cowtown in more ways then one. Wonder which desk Mayor Hic-looper would be cowering under if it was only the Duke of Denver that came calling today.
Listening to KNUS 710 news reporter and morning drive news person Nia Bender reported from the state Capitol today that Govenor Ritter was huddled under his desk as state patrolman killed an armed intruder. The armed intruder dressed in a suit decided that it was time to make his first and only appearance as the State Emporer today.
Wielding a gun in the state capitol and announceing his plan to take charge of the government was his failing. State troopers, the security for the Capitol were called to remove him as a panic button was hit by one of the secretaries in the Capitol.
Refuseing to drop his weapon the state patrol was left with no alternative but to shoot him. Now this is how you handle gun wielding perps. Saved the state the cost of a trial and incarciration. Kudos to the state patrol on this.
In an effort to make himself look more authoritive. Govenor Rotter tried to play the event off as not so panic filled. In the Gov's defense I have no doubt that he was huddled under his desk (more like cowering). However I am sure that he was told to seek cover there in case of such an event. I am sure his desk is a thick hard wood. One that wood make good cover in case someone was shooting at him.
The questions remain as to who this guy was and what was he thinking. These details are sure to be released soon. I just wonder was he a Republican or a Democrat.
