Iran and China have been discussing a major energy deal that would involve the swap of oil for technology.
Western diplomatic sources said the two countries have been examining an agreement that would make Iran the leading oil supplier to China. The sources said the long-term deal was valued at $100 billion.
Over the weekend, Iran and China discussed cooperation in oil, natural gas and petrochemicals. The official Iranian news agency Irna said the conference, held in Kish Island, was attended by officials and experts from both countries.
Gholam-Reza Manouchehri, managing director of Iran's Petropars, said China has been a major developer of Iran's energy reserves and called for the transfer of Chinese technology. Manouchehri also cited China's growing demand for oil.
"We intend to create new opportunities by making optimum use of the facilities of both countries in the mentioned fields," Manouchehri said.
NOW THIS IS WHAT IRAN SHOULD NOTE AND BE LEARY OF. THE FACT THAT CHINA OPPRESSES RELIGION .... DON'T THINK THAT THE SMALL MUSLIM COMMUNITY IN CHINA WILL NOW GET ANY EXTRA CONSIDERATION BY THE GOVERNMENT.
SECONDLY THE TRADE IN TECHNOLOGY WILL ONLY BE ONE SIDED. CHINA AS IT HAS DONE WITH NORTH KOREA WILL ONLY ALLOW WHAT IS DEEMS FRIENDLY TECH TO BE TRANSFERED TO IRAN. ANY WEAPONS SYSTEMS THAT ARE TOP OF THE LINE WILL NEVER SEE IRANIAN SOIL.
THIRD, IF IRAN THINKS IT CAN DICTATYE TO CHINA ON ANY TOPIC CONSERNING THE OIL IT HAS PROMISED CHINA ...LOL.... FORGET IT. CHINA WILL COLLECT.
ONE MORE THING TO THINK ABOUT. IF THE IRANIANS THINK THAT CHINA WILL ALLOW A FOOT HOLD OF ISLAMIC BELIEFS TO SINK FURTHER AND INFLUENCE THEIR GOVERNMENT IN ANY WAY, CHINA WILL STOMP ON THEM WITH OR WITH OUT WORLD OPINION. MEANING THEY DO NOT CARE WHAT THE WORLD SAYS THEY WILL DO WHAT IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF CHINA.
ON THE OTHER HAND DOES CHINA KNOW WHAT THEY ARE GETTING INTO? SURE THEY ARE EMERGING FAST ON THE INDUSTRIAL SIDE OF THINGS. WITH A DEMAND FOR FOSSIL FUELS THAT IS GREATER THEN ANY NATION. DO THEY UNDERSTAND THAT THE DEMANDS FROM IRAN FOR TOP OF THE LINE MILITARY SYSTEMS TO BE USED AGAINST THE WEST AND POSSIBLY THEM AT A LATTER DATE. THAT THE IMANS WILL WANT A STRONGER FOOTHOLD INSIDE OF CHINA WITH REPRESENTATION IN THE GOVERNMENT. THE ENACTMENT OF SHARIA LAWS IN CERTAIN PROVINCES.
IS CHINA READY TO RELINQUISH CONTROL ON ITS ANCIENT LANDS ALONG THESOUTH WEST PART OF THIER COUNTRY.
THE RACIAL HATRED BETWEEN MUSLIMS AND MONGELS. WILL CHINA ALLOW THESE ANCIENT FUEDS TO START UP AGAIN.
