U.S. Border Patrol is investigating a San Luis, Ariz., resident's allegations that an agent used excessive force by spraying him with pepper spray.
Ricardo Beltran, a 35-year-old U.S. citizen, said that after being sprayed in the face on Sunday, he was then taken to the San Luis Police Department, where he was put in a jail cell for at least half an hour.
Border Patrol spokesman Chris Van Wagenen confirmed that an agent sprayed Beltran with pepper spray after Beltran allegedly tried to obstruct agents making an arrest of an illegal alien.
"There was an alien being arrested and (Beltran) decided he was going to go in and stop it," said Van Wagenen.
(ONLY MISTAKE BY THE BOARDER PATROL. THEY SHOULD CHARGE THIS ILLEGAL ALIEN SYMPATHISER WITH OBSTRUCTION OF FEDERAL OFFICERS)
According to Beltran, agents were pursuing three suspected aliens near his residence in the Los Jardines subdivision on the west side of San Luis, Ariz.
Beltran said one of the suspects hid under a car that was parked on Beltran's property. Agents spotted the hidden alien, who then took off running in front of Beltran's property.
According to Beltran, three agents tackled the suspect.
Beltran said he approached the agents and that one of the agents told him to step back.
He said he stood 10 feet away from the agents, with his arms out and his hands open, and asked, "Why are you treating him like a criminal?"
(WAIT A MINUTE DOES SOMETHING NOT SOUND RIGHT HERE? HE WAS, THE ILLEGAL, HIDING UNDER A CAR YET THREE AGENTS TACKLED HIM. HOW WHEN HE WAS UNDER A CAR?)
Van Wagenen said the Border Patrol's Yuma Sector Critical Incident Team will investigate the case.
"Apparently, this guy was saying that we had beaten (the illegal alien) up, and so he went over there to save him," Van Wagenen said.
But Van Wagenen said the illegal alien who was being apprehended did not file any charges.
"(The illegal alien) did not complain. He understood what happened and why it happened," Van Wagenen said.
SO THE ILLEGAL DOES NOT FILE ABUSE CHARGES OR CLAIM HE WAS BEING BEATEN YET THIS BELTRAN SAYS HE (ILLEGAL) WAS. NO EVIDANCE TO BACK UP BELTRANS CLAIM ON THE ILLEGAL HOWEVER BELTRAN INTERFERED WITH FEDERAL OFFICERS WHILE THEY WERE PERFORMING THEIR JOBS. FOR THIS HE THINKS HE WAS ABUSED AND ASSUALTED. IF THIS WERE ANY OTHER COUNTRY THIS KOOK PROBALY WOULD HAVE BEEN SHOT.
Beltran said he plans to file a lawsuit, though he said he does not yet have a lawyer.
WON'T TAKE LONG FOR SOME ACLU CREEP TO TAKE UP THIS CASE. DEFEND THE LAWBREAKERS AND CHARGE THOSE WHO ARE TRYING TO PROTECT THIS COUNTRY AND ENFORCE THE LAWS. AMAZING ISN'T IT.
