What if it wasn't the Mumps???????
The mumps epidemic is the nation's first in 20 years. Health officials say 515 suspected cases have been reported in Iowa, and the disease also has been seen in six neighboring states, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
As of Monday, Nebraska has 43 reported cases; Kansas, 33; Illinois, four; Missouri, four; Wisconsin, four; and Minnesota, one.
The Iowa health department identified two people who were potentially infectious when they were traveling in late March and early April.
How could this have happened, more importantly what if it was not a case of the mumps. Say it was chicken pox, the plague, or worse! I have addressed this before on the ILEGAL ALIEN issue. What if someone crossed the boarder not legally and then went underground spreading a disiese around unchecked by medical proffesionals.
Here we have in reality a case of the mumps being inadvertenly spread by two American citizens. The first traveler is executive director of a Waterloo, Iowa, downtown development organization who in late March was in a delegation that traveled to Washington, D.C.
The woman, Terry Poe Buschkamp, had earlier visited the Dominican Republic where she thinks she may have caught the bug. Health officials did not release her name, but she has acknowledged her infection to the media.
Buschkamp, 51, left Waterloo, Iowa, on March 26 on a Mesaba Airlines flight to Minneapolis and then flew Northwest Airlines to Detroit. On March 26, she flew to Washington, D.C.'s Reagan National Airport. During her visit, she shook hands with Iowa's two U.S. senators, Tom Harkin and Charles Grassley, she said.
She returned to Waterloo on March 29 on Northwest and Mesaba flights, with a stop in Minneapolis.
She said she developed a scratchy throat upon her return, and after hearing reports of a mumps outbreak, went to a doctor for testing. She got confirmatory test results six days later.
During those six days, she had been to church and numerous work events, including an April 1 pub crawl that involved about 370 people. Mumps has been a mild disease for most people, but Buschkamp found the length of time she was able to spread the virus before learning her test results alarming.
Now look how many people may have been infected, and how many more they may have infected ..... 1 gets 2, 2 get 4, 4 get 8, 8 get 16, 16 get 32, on and on and on.
While in Washington she met with two U.S.Senators. Who have the met with since then? More members of the senate, the house, the President? Look how this travels, this is only the mumps. It is treatable, but what if it were something more sinister?
Taburcleoses is on the rise thanks to ILEGALS, coming across the boarder and not getting the medical examinations required. Those that come here legally do get diagnosed and treatment. Now what if say some camel jockey, someone who is maybe and extremist of the Islamofacist belief decided to sneek across the open boarder. This person delusional with the thought he would become a maryter. Had let themselves become infected with something deadly. How many people would this crazed individual come across.
Aided by the Catholic church, La Raza, MEchna, and who knows what other subversive groups. He passes on the disease to them and they to others and so on. Would this Cardinal Mahphooey ask for aid? Would he help identify the person deliberatly infecting America? Nope ... more then likely he would come up with some lame tantrum blaming the U.S. government for not closeiong the boarder on this Islamofacist.
I digress. What I am trying to point out here is not only are open boarders and ILEGAL IMMIGRATION bad for the economy, school systems, our own social services, but look hard at the health hazzard that we are putting ourselves in.
This is a wake up call on open boarders. The price for letting people enter this country at their whim is to high a price.
(SIDE THOUGHT ..... WHY IF THEY CAN ENTER THIS COUNTRY UNOPPOSSED CAN WE NOT ENTER THEIR COUNTRIES UNOPPOSSED?)

in hawaii there are razor wire fences to protect land and plants..I see the illegals climbing the boarder fence..if the gov. won't pay for it, then everyone could pay $10 or more to put up a razor wire fence or something as effective..the comment that the illegals will just bring a bigger ladder is stupid, I haven't seen any ladders! from: Mary...LAS VEGAS
