They Won't Fire Him

This is a classic example of how liberals are undermineing this current administration. By pushing thier own adgenda despite what their job or position is. They believe that they are morally superior in their pursuit of power then doing thier job. No matter the damage or embarrishment occures.

From Michelle Malkin:

Alberto Fernandez, director of public diplomacy in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the US State Department, is al Jazeera's favorite pet tool. He has been praised as "sassy" and is a fixture on Arab TV. From a Newsweek profile published in August, which proclaimed him "the face of the United States in the Middle East:"

On paper, at least, Fernandez's job is basically that of a high-powered booker, coordinating appearances of high-level State Department officials on Arab media. But in reality, he's the main act. According to his own conservative estimates, he has done about 200 interviews with Arabic media in the past year—with almost 60 media appearances in July alone. "As far as I am aware, he is the only Arabic speaker from the U.S. government who appears on Al-Jazeera says Abderrahim Foukara, managing editor at the network's Washington offices. "Sometimes we'll even have him on three or four days in a row."
Well, last night, he appeared on the Arab news network to condemn America's arrogance and stupidity in Iraq (hat tip: LGF). Your tax dollars at work:

A senior American diplomat has told Aljazeera that the United States has shown "arrogance" and "stupidity" in Iraq, but warned that failure would be a disaster for the entire region.
"We tried to do our best [in Iraq] but I think there is much room for criticism, because, undoubtedly, there was arrogance and there was stupidity from the United States in Iraq," Alberto Fernandez, director of public diplomacy in the bureau of Near Eastern affairs at the US state department, said in the interview, aired on the Arabic channel late Saturday.

[NOW OF COURSE HE HAS APOLOGISED AND THEREFORE IT IS ALL OK RIGHT????]

US State Department mouthpiece Alberto Fernandez issued a statement tonight saying he's sorry for condemning American "arrogance and stupidity" in Iraq:

"Upon reading the transcript of my appearance on Al-Jazeera, I realized that I seriously misspoke by using the phrase 'there has been arrogance and stupidity' by the U.S. in Iraq," said Fernandez, director of public diplomacy in State's Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs.
"This represents neither my views nor those of the State Department," Fernandez added. "I apologize."

[A LITTLE LATE TO STATE THAT THIS DOES NOT REPRESENT HIS OWN PERSONAL VIEWS AND THAT HIS COMMENTS ARE A 180 OF POLOCY ON IRAQ. HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS SAYING BEFORE HAND AND SAID IT ANYWAYS. ALL PART OF THE LIBERAL ADGENDA TO MAKE AMERICA LOOK BAD INTERNATIONALLY BECAUSE THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION REFUSES TO KOWTOW TO SOCIALISM AND U.N. AUTHORITY OF OUR HOMELAND. THIS LITTLE BASTARD NEEDS TO BE FIRED AND POSSIBLY BECAUSE OF HIS GOVERNMENT JOB TRIED ON SUBVERSION CHARGES. AIDINF AND ABEDDING THE ENEMY BY USE OF PROPAGANDA. UNFORTUNATELY NOONE ELSE WILL ADMIT IT SO I WILL ..... THEY WON'T FIRE HIM BECAUSE OF OF FEAR BEING LABELED PERHAPS RACIST. HE IS AFTERALL A LIBERAL HISPANIC.]
