710KNUS Cares710KNUS has set up a fund for the family of slain Denver Police Officer Donald Young. He left behind a wife, Kelly, and two young daughters, ages 13 and 5. All donations will go directly to Officer Young's family.
Denver police have identified a suspect in the weekend slaying of an off-duty officer. The man was identified as 19-year-old Raoul Garcia Gomez. Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said the man's whereabouts were unknown -- and that he was considered armed and extremely dangerous. Detective Donald Young was gunned down from behind.
He may be driving a four-door Plymouth Neon. CrimeStoppers is offering a 50-thousand dollar reward for information. --- Police urged anyone with knowledge of the case to call CrimeStoppers at 720-913-STOP.
