You got to love this guy. I feel that the Right/ conservative crowd has missed the point of Howard Deans rants. Sure he has been insulting, racial, and just plain offensive, but why? It is so obviouse. Look at the actual front runners for the Democratic party. You still have Edwards, Kerry, and Hillary. There is no way that anyone can possibly think that these three are moderate. However compare them to Dean and his rants they look moderate. Hillary has hooked Newt Gingrich into helping/talking with her to the public on health care. This makes her look moderate. Edwards has seperated himself as well as Biden by saying Dean does not speak for them or the party. This is smart politics as it makes the whole thing seem as a Dean meltdown. This I do not believe.
Dean is the head of the National Democratic Commity. His job is to raise money and help get a democrat elected. What better way then to be as outragouse and extreme. Listen , every one knows that presently the democrats are being lead by extremist agenda and by lefty liberals who really enjoy blaming America first. By publicly stateing and having the other elected extremists supporting Deans outlandish words the hope of getting main stream democrates back into the fold may work. Especially now that the Republicans have ceeded elected power in the Senate and Congress back to the minority party.
Allowing the Nancy Pelosi's , Ted Kennedy's, and other Lenninist to dictate the coarse of society is dangerouse. The election showed the majority of Americans wanted a more conservatgive course. By allowing Dean to be radical makes others look moderate and appealing. It is a basic stratogy make a diversion and do the end run.
It will be interseting to watch if and how many voters will fall for this ploy.
