Money is not the Answer
Oh Good Grief. Here we go again. The answer from the left is always more money . Build this, pay this ..... we can buy the solution.
Actress Susan (I am better then you because my head is up my A$%)Sarandon says "Build Schools not Wall s in Mexico." Does she not know that qwe already send MILLIONS to Mexico as it is and the corrupt officials there just pocket as much as they can and do what they want. Thier schols falsely teach what happened in the Mexican American war and fail to talk about the treaty of Guadalupe.
So why is it she thinks if we build schools the problem of ILEGALS will go away. It is simple. A answer from the left that allows them to keep thier heads burried in the sand. Ignoreing the reality and truth of what is happening.
Sarandon: Build Mexico Schools, Not Wall

Susan Sarandon, outspoken actress and liberal political activist, thinks the United States should help build schools in Mexico -- not walls along the border.
Visiting a preschool in a slum bordering a vast, municipal garbage dump in Tijuana, Mexico, Sarandon said education was the key to improving lives in Mexico. She criticized a U.S. congressional proposal to extend walls along the 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexico border.
The school was founded by New York educator David Lynch, who came to Tijuana in 1980 as a volunteer teacher. He later built the school for the children of Mexicans who eke out a living gathering recyclable material from the dump.
Sarandon, who has starred in movies such as "Thelma & Louise" and "The Client," has been supporting the project for years.
"I'm very proud, especially with the world careening out of control," she said. "People feel they have no control over their lives. I think this school is helping people to get control over their lives."
SHE IS RIGHT EDUCATION IS A KEY FACTOR IN STOPPING THE INVASION FROM THE SOUTH. HOWEVER WHAT IS TAUGHT IS MORE IMPORTANT THEN BUILDING NEW SCHOOLS. LOOK AT THE SHAPE OUR SCHOOLS ARE IN. A MORAL AND ETHICAL STANDARD OF TEACHING NEEDS TO BE SET. AS WELL AS A CHECK ON THE CREDENTIALS OF WHO IS HIRED TO TEACH. THIS MEANS QUALIFIED TEACHERS NOT JUST SOCIAL ENGINEERS WHO PUSH A POLITICAL LEFT WING ADGENDA.

Carpi,
Valid points made. We all do wish for all to have a basic education. the R's if you will. However, there will neve be enough money to teach this to all in the world. Education will never be the answer especially when on thinks that spending money will provide this. The key to ridding the world of poverty is simple... it begins with the homelife. For any education to be productive it takes the family to focus on this. Here in Latin America this sort of living is common. I see this everyday as I walk the steets of this city. I give to some of the street beggers, and to the children that come into the cafés peddling their wares. one thing that I also do, that is in regards to the charitable giving, is that I am selective to whom I give to. I give to the ones working to improve their circumstances.. the kids going to school and that this is their main priority so as they will not have to suffer this poverty in the years to come. Thos that are working... selling thier products on the streets. Building a school does nothing for he community, but helping those that are helping themselves does. When they take an active intrest in their own life and working to changes it for the bette, it is then that the help is welcomed with a good attitude and is used to the most effective way it can be.
Handouts used just to support a person while the person is not doing anything to support themselves never work. In many places in Latin America, one person in an household that gets a real education and is able to pass the entrance exames to the universities (many are free) and then come out with a degree, can pull a whole two generation family houshold out of poverty. This is fact. As I stated before.. it is the priority f where education lay, not the money... or building a school. There are many that just have but a basic education, but strive for more knowledge, and thus expand thier base of education to the extent whee they gain higher education. These are the people we ought to support. Charity doen correctly works... done from the liberal standpoint always fails. More money does not = better education of less poverty... never has never will.
Now to touch on Vincent Fox a bit. Since his term in office there has been more migrants leave mexicao for hte US than in another presidents' terms. it has been counted to be 4.4million that has went to the US.
