Looking Back

It is another year, and the United States Military is still somewhere protecting our shores. Since the creation of this great country the United States Military and the VOLUNTEERS that serve in it have found themselves in distant lands. Over and over again they defend those who are oppressed and bring freedom to those who understand and grasp that all men are created equal.

As our service men and women are stationed from Okinawa japan, South Korea, to Diego Garcia. From Embassies in Africa to all across the european continent. The symbols of freedom are present. We need to stop and reflect upon those who pay the ultimate price. Those who gave thier lives for our freddoms.

Not to mantion all those that served and still stand tall with pride as "Old Glory" passes by in the front of the parade.

Memorial Day is a time for reflection on the sacrifices of Bouganville, Guadelcanal, Tikrit, Tripoli, The Halls of Montezuma, Bull run, just to name a few.

As you go picnicing this weekend, or to the races, town fairs, parades, or camping just remember that your ability to do this little act of personal choice was bought , and paid for with the price of blood. The sacrifices of those in Uniform for you to enjoy.

Give reverance to those who are still protecting us from an enemy that wants to kill you and your familiy. Stop and thank the person in uniform for thier sacrifice. I am.
