Isabel Garcia/ identity theft is ok
Pima County Legal Defender Isabel Garcia, thinks identity theft is OK. That there is nothing wrong with it and supports those who do steal identities.
In a court room Monday, Isabel Garcia demonstrated more reasons she needs to have her license to practice law revoked. In a case that the Judge also seemed to think a minor glitch to someone else's life. Declared that time served looked to be harsh enough.
Legal defender Isabel Garcia ( and I use the term public defender loosely) cried foul as she called the three-month investigation a "waste of taxpayer money."
The waste of money as she claimed was an investigation that revealed employees of Panda Express, who were using Social Security numbers that didn't appear to be associated with their names. (Possible Identity Theft? )
Isabel Garcia went on to babble that Illegal immigrants have contributed $200 billion to Social Security and it is because of them that baby boomers will be able to collect Social Security upon retirement. She fails to note the expectation that these ILLEGALS paying in may want to collect said monies sometime in the future. However how much of this money would be theirs and how much would belong to the person the SSN was issued to.
Moreover, they have also paid local, state and sales taxes — taxes that "contribute to the well-being of all of our society," Garcia said.
Generations of people have bought or created Social Security numbers, but it's only recently become a crime, Garcia said.
The Social Security number one defendant, Moreno-Peralta, used belonged to a dead person; no one was hurt, Garcia said.
