Now that the conventions are over, the real campaigning begins. The proverbial bounce form the conventions will be tallied and published this week. The first preliminary poll is out. Zogby shows that McCain is up by 4. Now this can be interpreted as a statistical tie or a very small lead.

Of coarse democrats will say it is do to all the pro republican coverage from the convention and lack of coverage for their "issue" only speaking engagements. That an entertainment show of glitz and pageantry has the public attention for now.

Granted that coverage should be a little more on the republican party do to their having the most recent public event. But to say that it is all glitz and pageantry on the republican side and failed to cover issues is false. During the convention the republican addressed more issues and substance then during the DNC convention. Watch replays of the convention and compare for yourself.
