I blogged and asked the question what our elected officials were hiding or afraid of. By allowing the FBI to execute their search warrents into congressional offices, legislatures are throwing hissy fits. Now ABC is reporting another investigation.

ABC News's Blotter blog reports:

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dennis Hastert, is under investigation by the FBI, which is seeking to determine his role in an ongoing public corruption probe into members of Congress, ABC News has learned from senior U.S. law enforcement officials.
Federal officials say the information implicating Hastert was developed from convicted lobbyists who are now cooperating with the government.


However the department of Justice issued the current statement:

WASHINGTON, D.C.

"Speaker Hastert is not under investigation by the Justice Department."


So we have hint of a possible investigation to the squeeky wheel on the search of Jeffersons office. This is why we as voters need to put it to these pompus jackasses in Washington ..... THEY ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW.
