What have they Done?

In a landmark, end of Constitutional authority decision, by a vote of 5 to 4 SCOTUS has sold this country out to those who will use our system of justice to their advantage and screw us over.

Justice Scalia sumed it up best on his summary. “The Nation will live to regret what the Court has done today. I dissent.”

In a 25 page dissenting opinion. Justice Scalia has harsh, but truthful words to say.
“The game of bait-and-switch that today’s opinion plays upon the Nation’s Commander in Chief will make the war harder on us. It will almost certainly cause more Americans to be killed.” said Scalia.

Just what exactly has SCOTUS done. Well they have granted habeas rights to prisoners of war. Not just the average prisoners but under the Geneva convention, rights to ILLEGAL COMBATANTS.

Basically in a nut shell what the court has done. The court is now allowing combatants from foriegn nations not only in the war on terror but any future wars to file papers stateing that they are being held against their will (well duh thats what happens when one is captured on the field of battle), and seek release and punitive damages for their imprisonment.

This decision aslo allows the lawyers from the left (ACLU) who oppose America defending itself to set foriegn policy and dictate war strategy.

On a plus note. To combat this ASSININE decision the military may just refuse to accept prisoners of war. This will eliminate the burden of the tax payer paying for the defense of those who want to kill us. It also means that these cretins captured have to sit in jail while their appeals are filed and processed. Three squares and a hot cot. Better then what most had before their capture.
