McCain shows his Socialism
Presidential candidate john McCain has always been a socialist. He in no way is a conservative. Now as the main election campaigning comes his colors are showing. John McCain wants to put a cap on the pay of CEO's. Now if this doesnt smack of socialism then the defintion needs to be changed.
McCain says: "Americans are right to be offended when the extravagant salaries and severance deals of CEOs ... bear no relation to the success of the company or the wishes of shareholders," adding that some of those chief executives helped bring on the country's housing crisis and market troubles.
"If I am elected president, I intend to see that wrongdoing of this kind is called to account by federal prosecutors. And under my reforms, all aspects of a CEO's pay, including any severance arrangements, must be approved by shareholders".
Now there are seeral falsehoods in his statement here. First is that the Ceo's are responsible for the ouseing crisis. In no way does this broad stroke incompass all CEO's. His statement is very misleading. The fact we are in a houseing crisis is because of over building and morgage companies ( this does ot include the auto industries CEO's, noe high tech CEO's), were greedy and the buyer was simply stupid.
So many people who wanted a second home or a rental for profiet were to damn guillable in their egerness to sign on the dotted line. Buy not paying attention to the terms of a very poor morgage they themselves put the payment out of their range of living. McCain broadly tries to have everyone think that all CEo's are to blame, when in fact it is buyer bewere.
Now , though I dislike the golden parachutes given to some execs on their retirement or shood I say fireings from poor managment. It is not the governments job to set limits on this. Any company that is openly tradeing its stock is responsible to its shareholders. There is a board of trustees that are supposed to be watching oout for the shareholders best interests. If the shareholders, like in a political election do not pay attention to what is happening then it is their fault that croanism sets in and these salaries and golden parachutes are handed out.
McCain, like Obama would have the government step in and control a free market. This is SOCIALISM.
As I said in the2004 when McCain wanted to run then, that he was a closet socialist. Now again I say it , but he is out of the closet. Unfortunately we have no conservative candidate in which to vote for.
