Daniel Craig, Who?
Daniel Craig who is that? Oh wait that's the guy playing the new version of James Bond. Being claimed as the best Bond to hit the screen, hardly. Lets face facts it was Sean Connery who made Bond a household name. it was Sean Connery who made young boys dream of being jet setting international men of mystery not Pierce Brosnon or Roger Moore.
Sean Connery was the best James Bond hands down. But that's not what this blog is about. What we have is a complete difference of opinion on something that Danny boy said about Barack Obama.
What did he say that makes us want to comment on. Well he said the following. When asked in a recent interview who would be a better James Bond, John McCain or Barack Obama he said Barack by far for this reason: " Obama would be the better Bond because—if he’s true to his word—he’d be willing to quite literally look the enemy in the eye and go toe-to-toe with them. McCain, because of his long service and experience, would probably be a better M.”
Now the fact he said McCain would be a better boss shows that McCain in his eyes is the better qualified leader and man to fit the position of President. The man who leads. A man who would use his resources and hit the enemy before they could hit us. Someone who knows when to be ready and when to act.
However to say Barack would look the enemy in the eye and go toe-to-toe with them is absolutely laughable. There is no way I could ever believe Obama would stand toe to toe with any one. By the way he has lied and grandstanded in his campaign I see Barack as the type to turn and run till someone else took up the fight. Then he would fit the bill as the third dog in a dog fight. You know the little dog that nips at the heels of both dogs until the better dog starts to win. Then the little dog bullies up on the loosing dog. Now that's the impression Barack gives me. Not of the stand alone one on one fighter, but the guy who ambushes someone when their back is turned.
I cannot see in any situation Obama being the man the press makes him out to be. He just does not give off that vibe. The vibe I get is a chill up down the spine warning me of the knife soon to come.
I do agree with other things Daniel Craig was quoted as saying. That Bogart was a mans man in the movies and that Lauren Bacall was definitely a beauty.
